Is School Designed More for Girls Than Boys?

Girls tend to develop certain skills earlier than boys: for example the ability to sit still and stay attentive. Our school day, more often than not, demands that students do just that and  sit for long periods of time and listen attentively. If students fail to do this, they risk getting a lower grade and receiving disciplinary action. Now girls are outperforming boys at all levels of education, from kindergarten to graduate school. Most people believe females need schooling more than boy because they are stereotypically the ones that teach their kids how to read and write. Boys on the other hand need to know how to fix and operate appliances, while also paying for the families needs. Most of the time when boys go to school they don’t follow the teachers directions, don’t get their work done on time, and just talk and mess around during class time. Other studies say school is designed for both genders, not just one. If someone is struggling in school, it’s not because of their gender, it’s because of their own self. Yes perhaps most girls have a better discipline than boys, but some girls don't. School is designed for anyone of any race, gender etc. School is a place where both girls and boys can learn equally, and teachers should be fair when grading. For example, some teachers are more lenient with girls because they actually care and try for the good grades. Most of the times boys don’t even care and it doesn’t bother them what their grades are. Other times, teachers will favor the girls more because they pay attention, don’t talk in class, and also are nice to the teachers unlike the boys.
