To All The Boy’s I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

Book Review

If you are a girl or boy, and like Drama and Romance this is the book for you. To All The Boy’s I’ve Loved Before is about a  girl named Lara Jean. Lara Jean wrote love letters over the years for boys that she had crushes on. Some of the boys she has written letters to are Peter Kavinsky, who used to be friends with her, and Josh,  her neighbor and her sister, boyfriend. Margot, Lara’s sister, heads for college, leaving the whole family to start over with just Lara Jean and Kitty. Which is really hard for her. Shortly after her sister leaves, Lara Jeans love letters get sent out causing even more chaos. If you want to find out what Lara Jean does next pick up the book in the  high school library. I would rate this book a four out of five stars. This book is very interesting and exciting. One thing that I didn’t like about the book was that it used some mature or inappropriate words at times. If that is something you dislike you should still consider it because it doesn’t have that many and in the end it's a very well written. This book is  the first in this series by Jenny Han. The second book is P.S, I Still Love You and the third is Always and Forever, Lara Jean. These books are  in the IKM-Manning high school library. Some of you have maybe watched the Netflix original movie called To All The Boy’s I’ve Loved Before, which is based off this book. There are subtle differences between the two, but if you enjoyed the movie you will likely enjoy the book . This book teaches many life lessons , which makes this book even better. Some things I have learned from reading this book is that you should follow your heart, and live life to the fullest.  “I don’t have to be so afraid of good-bye, because good-bye doesn’t have to be forever.” “Life doesn't have to be so planned. Just roll with it and let it happen.”
